NuPIC Numental for intelligent computing

The Numenta platform for intelligent computing (NuPIC) is a set of tools and fruntime engine including embedded learning algorithms that enables self training and pattern recognition based on theory of Hierarchical Temporal Memory (HTM).

It is a python/C++ open source project. A version for Microsoft Windows operating system was announced on August 29, 2007.

Jeff Hawking and his longtime business partner Donna Dubinsky and a Stanford graduate student Dileep George founded Numenta on March 24, 2005.

In June 2013 Numenta announced that it would open source the core software underlying Grok. This was accompanied by new website and mailing list for community members.
